Hello. My name is Emily, and in seven years I will be an alcoholic. Well not really considering I may be there already. J/K; although I do love vodka (Stoli) amongst other alcoholic beverages. Seriously, my name really is Emily, but there are a plethora of names by which I go. Emily. Ava. Supe. Miss Supe. The Supe. Nels. Emmo. I think that is pretty much all of them. Beside that, I love sports. Pittsburgh Peguins. Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Pirates. Yes, that means I would watch a Pens game over a Steeler game any day. I am a huge gymnastics fan, considering it was part of my life for 20 years. Did I mention I play dek hockey? If not, I do. I love the fall.shoes.dresses.crosswrod puzzles.traveling.reading. My favorite book is 'Catcher in the Rye.' I hate phonies; get away from me, thanks. I also hate people in my personal space, even my boyfriend, don't worry it is not just you. I love nerds.chocolate covered gummi bears. I think that is all you need to know at the moment. O yeah, one more thing; I do not trust people who do not drink.

Here is a good one.
My favorite teacher told me NEVER to write with contractions. When I was in school, I never thought twice about it. He told me not to do it, and I listened. Now I look back on his advice, and it totally makes sense.
By no means am I a pro at grammar and writing, but when I have to I can get it together. Some people, especially my age, and probably older have no idea the appropiate use of "your" and "you're." These mistakes are clearly noticeable in blogs, facebook, and whatever else we write to get our point across. It is OK, if you are in elementary and and learning, BUT these kids are 10-years-old! Come one people, if "your" out of elementary school it is time to learn "you're" grammar!
First the word "YOUR"-----This word is to show possession! 2nd person, to be exact. Ex: "I have YOUR dress!" You would never write, " I have YOU ARE dress." Your is showing possession to you.
Second word, or should I say second and third word-----YOU'RE. THIS IS TWO WORDS! It is a contraction, with which my teacher told me NEVER to write. This is exactly the reason why; it is YOU and ARE put together! Subject + Verb! Not YOUR possession!
If I need to go into detail anymore about that, you should go back to elementary school with the 10-years-olds.
I would have loved to call out a so-called friend. By so-called, I mean one of the facebook friends with whom one never associates. Anyway she is an elementary school teacher, and I noticed a post by her which said "Your Invited." Mind you, she is an elementary school teacher, really? These kids that she is teaching are SCREWED. YOU ARE an elementary school teach and should have YOUR grammar down pat!!!!!
