Hello. My name is Emily, and in seven years I will be an alcoholic. Well not really considering I may be there already. J/K; although I do love vodka (Stoli) amongst other alcoholic beverages. Seriously, my name really is Emily, but there are a plethora of names by which I go. Emily. Ava. Supe. Miss Supe. The Supe. Nels. Emmo. I think that is pretty much all of them. Beside that, I love sports. Pittsburgh Peguins. Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Pirates. Yes, that means I would watch a Pens game over a Steeler game any day. I am a huge gymnastics fan, considering it was part of my life for 20 years. Did I mention I play dek hockey? If not, I do. I love the fall.shoes.dresses.crosswrod puzzles.traveling.reading. My favorite book is 'Catcher in the Rye.' I hate phonies; get away from me, thanks. I also hate people in my personal space, even my boyfriend, don't worry it is not just you. I love nerds.chocolate covered gummi bears. I think that is all you need to know at the moment. O yeah, one more thing; I do not trust people who do not drink.

Ross-I....

You always want to know what goes through my head.   Well, I don't have a book out......yet, so this will have to do.   Lol.

Mr. Jim.

Mr. Jim,
Did this work?!?!?   Lol.

Emmi.

Not so Happy Easter.

Whomever thought it was a good idea to start drinking at one o'clock in the afternoon on Easter Sunday needs to be shot.  Yes that was me.  That now is making Monday morning at the nuthouse even more outstanding.  Yes, I know I should have stopped drinking at some point, but I didn't, whoops.....I suppose it happens to the best of us, but I really just wanted the day to be over as soon as it came.

Easter isn't the best of days, well to me anyway.  First off, I am not that religious, I know I should be, but something just doesn't click. (Nemisis you are probably hating me at the moment for saying that.  If you want, you can get rid of me at any point, lol).  Anyway, that isn't the sole reason I am not a fan of Easter.

Two years ago Easter day was the last time I saw my Pap.   We had a great day of drinking(shocker), eating, then watching 'The Sound of Music.'  He sat in the olive-colored recliner, so happy, singing along with every song, tapping his feet, and telling me how great the movie is.  After all, that was the first time I watched the entire movie.  After the movie, my dad took him home, and exactly a week later he passed away.   It wouldn't have been so bad if he had been terminally ill, at least you know it is coming.   With him, it was so sudden. One day he was fine and the next he was in the hospital.  Granted he was in his late 80's and had some health issues, but nothing major.  So everything that transpired from Easter sunday to the next Sunday was all a surprise.

So anyway last night in my drunken state, I wanted to watch 'The Sound of Music'.  Apparently it aired everywhere except in Pittsburgh.  To say the least, I was not a happy camper.  So that was that, today is a new day.  A new day to let go of yesterday, and be a happy camper.

No more Starbucks........maybe.

Starbucks has not treated me well this week.  Usually this is one of my favorite hangouts, not so much over the last few days.

The first bad experience was in Cleveland, shocker there.   I knew the city-if you can call it that-was run down, beat up and mostly importantly desolate.   Compared to Cleveland, Pittsburgh looks like NYC, I am not even kidding you.  Anyway, I lost my dead-grandmother's ruby ring.  Yes it was my fault.  I took it off to wash my hands, but I honestly think that the two employees, who were working together, took the ring.  I usually don't think like this because trusting people is my thing, but there is no other solution.

The ring was in my pocket, and when I placed the bathroom key, which was in my pocket, on the counter I think the ring came out with it.   The only people that could have seen the ring were the two employees, who not to mention were dating.   I would hope neither employee took it, but the way each was searching  for it, and some comments were made, it was a little too obvious.

If it wasn't either of them sorry for placing the blame on the innocent, but if it was I hope at least one of them gets hit by a bus, no joke.   Although that may be a little impossible since there is no form of transportation in that 'city.'

Secondly this week, today actually, I found out why drive-thrus are called drive-thrus.   I literally drove right thru, no joke.

Order of events this morning:
  • ordered my Americano and paper
  • pulled up to the window
  • gave the barista my card
  • he ran the card
  • he gave me back card/receipt/paper, no Americano
  • I drove away
Really?  Did I do that?  Yep, wonder how oftern that happens at any drive thru?
