Hello. My name is Emily, and in seven years I will be an alcoholic. Well not really considering I may be there already. J/K; although I do love vodka (Stoli) amongst other alcoholic beverages. Seriously, my name really is Emily, but there are a plethora of names by which I go. Emily. Ava. Supe. Miss Supe. The Supe. Nels. Emmo. I think that is pretty much all of them. Beside that, I love sports. Pittsburgh Peguins. Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Pirates. Yes, that means I would watch a Pens game over a Steeler game any day. I am a huge gymnastics fan, considering it was part of my life for 20 years. Did I mention I play dek hockey? If not, I do. I love the fall.shoes.dresses.crosswrod puzzles.traveling.reading. My favorite book is 'Catcher in the Rye.' I hate phonies; get away from me, thanks. I also hate people in my personal space, even my boyfriend, don't worry it is not just you. I love nerds.chocolate covered gummi bears. I think that is all you need to know at the moment. O yeah, one more thing; I do not trust people who do not drink.

Boys and Girls

Here is something to ponder. I mean there are a lot of things to ponder like the Egyptian Pyramids, but this issue is still ponder-able.
Have you ever noticed that girls say that they do not get along with other girls? Or they say, I just like to hang out with a lot of guys. Have you heard and read this statement before: "I love to hang out with my friends. I have several close girls that are friends, but I tend to go out with more guys than girls. Girls cause too much drama and guys are just chill, and have more fun." With that said, think about it. How many times have you heard a girl say that?
This theory or whatever category you would like to put this in is just plain stupid. I will admit, I have said to people that I hang out with guys moreso than girls, but do you know why? Because THESE girls don't want to be friends! That's why. Sure, if a girl wants to be friends with me, then I am game. But at the same time if ya'll are going to have the other attitude, 'eff off.
I have come to the conclusion that these gals with this I-like-boys-better-than-girls attitude have their sexes confused. Honestly, I find that boys are more dramatic than girls, at least the ones with whom I have asscoiated. But that may be just me, b/c I tend NOT to be dramatic. It is usually the guys in my life that are dramatic. I have been told several times that I have a guy's perspective on things, maybe this is why I do get along with girls. HMMM. Something to ponder..........

Yada yada yada.....

Holy geez, it has been awhile since the last post. Maybe it was because of the holidays, but more likely it was my apparent inability to put a stream of logical thoughts together, which by the way, the streak is still in tact. I have no rhyme or reason for this post, just a few post-holiday thoughts plus some.

  • This is the time of year when people are sick, coughing, sniffling, and of course a runny nose. Yuck. What makes it worse is when people blow their nose, and look at what is in the tissue after they blow. Really? I know we have all done it, and most likely we do not even think about it, but next time someone blows watch.....
  • Have you ever been watching a movie, TV or anything funny for that matter, and the person with whom you are watching looks at you everytime something funny happens? Why do people do this?
  • What is the proper etiquette in Starbucks when two people are walking in at the same time, and person 1 opens the door for person 2, person 2 is now ahead of person 1 in line? Does person 2 order their drink first, or do you let person 1 back in front of you to order first? This always baffles me, I never know what is right, but I have always let person 1 back in front after, usually a he, opens the door for me.
